Tamil brahmi (TAMIZHI)  script  (1000 BC) used to write Tamil predates Asoka brahmi used to write Pali and Prakrit (300 BC),  by at least 600 years, which  has been clearly revealed in recent keeladi excavations, pushing the Tamil Sangam literature period by at least 1000 yrs BC ; Tamil so far the oldest extant  written language of the world ; in a decipherable script,  from India, after, the yet to be deciphered (!)  Indus script (5000- 1500 BC) .

Literacy was so widespread around 1000 BC in Tamil land, where Tamil was spoken and written and possibly around the whole of India for at least 1000 years ( 2500 BC) before the decimation of Indus civilization  around 1500 BC, with the the Steppes pastoral migration (ARYAN) . The current DNA evidence points towards the indigenous population with Archaic Ancestral South Indian (AASI) gene , arrived 50,000 years ago from Africa; mixing with Harappan gene arriving from Iran 10,000 years ago to form the current Ancestral South Indian Gene (ASI) , widely prevalent in south India and in north as  Ancestral North Indian (ANI) gene due the mix of the same  Harappan and Steppes Pastoral Aryan gene. Interesting to note that the Archaic ancestral South Indian gene is  still seen in Aboriginal , Dalit populations of southern India and also of  Australia ( migrated 50, 000 years ago from Africa).

Widespread use of graffiti in  Keeladi and Kodumanal excavations in Tamil Nadu, point towards a trans-formative zone, between the undeciphered Indus script and a Tamil brahmi script to write Tamil around 1000 BC ;  which 500 years later adapted into Asokan brahmi as seen in Asoka's edicts, to write Pali and Prakrit. This may have happened with spread of Buddhism and Jainism into Tamil land around 300-500 BC from North and the spread of Tamizhi script to the north from the south. The Asoka edicts and Karavelas edicts of modern day Odisha  mention about the confederation of Tamil Kings, Cheras, Cholas and Pandyas existing for at least 1000 years before 300 BC. Needless to mention that Sanskrit, the language of Vedas ( 1000- 500 BC)  was not put into a proper script until 300 AD by the Guptas.

So what?

India’s economy is in deep doldrums; Indian bourgeois wants to believe that they are actually over the moon; no pun intended; (photo opportunities never missed by) ; however kudos to Indian Chandraayan , almost there to be soft landed on the southern pole of moon , however missed trajectory by a whisker and ended up spinning on to the pole. Though every economy data is skewed and cooked and released by the BJP government, like the way a Chennaite Biriyani is cooked and consumed by the middle class in whatever presented form without any reasoning and, science; conveniently forgot to mention that BJP was back in power again and may be for next foreseeable future; Modi is at the helm again, In India, with his brethren from an organised organisation, a cultural and societal clique, pretending to be catering to the common masses of India with Hindi (!) and Hindutva as two generic unifying factors. Morons!

Life is dotted with ups and downs along its x and y axis; teaches us new lessons; new expected and unexpected insights into ourselves; our and external shades, roofs and canopies; people, their facades and interiors and what not?

Reasoning; Science; Humanity and Progress apparently are the four pillars of tenets on which Enlightenment being built. Everything else is absurd and tawdry. As age accrues, we get to know lots and loads of homo - sapiens, understand their and our issues with them (?); more clarity; experience; use availability heuristics , play it from your memory, from whatever you know (!) ; terrorising and faking that we may know everything and we have seen it all, from micro to Mackerel economics ! Man’s biggest strength being his or her random memory loss, and not so, to me , which has been an enigma and an anathema ; lest you may not have realised already that I live and breathe nostalgia day in and day out rather than debunking it.

Been to India for an Indian wedding ceremony recently; a Tamil one to the core; and enjoyed the colors and vibrancy of it; and may attend one or few many soon too later this year. Weddings always come with nostalgic (!) aroma to me; the sambar served there always would taste different and tastier than one served at or made by ourselves at home (!); remind me of the century by gone; added on would be the nostalgic musicality of the wedding enhanced by the ever poignant of an instrument, also the gargantuan Nagaswaram, played by musicians, whose ancestors singularly cultured classical music in Tamil land for centuries at temples; the tip of the ice berg moment.

We toured, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Portland recently in May, along the west coast of USA. They were beautiful and each was holistically different. The bourgeois populace was very visible and active with various chores on the west coast apart from few areas in San Francisco. We have not done Los Angeles yet! Tanzania, Serengeti, in July was an eye opener; its great people with loads of humility; Savannah and fauna; civilization and its culture. Though we tried to fathom possibly 1/100th of Africa through the northern Tanzania, inasmuch it was more than a teaser for us, who visited Serengeti and its plains and its unfathomable craters and volcanic terrains. Well, Homo- sapiens originated and walked leaving their imprints on volcanic terrain, from a nearby area called Olduvai Gorge, also called last “Cradle of Mankind” and Jesus, the crater itself was overwhelming and breathtaking.

Few days in Mumbai and in Bhubaneshwar visiting the famous Konark temple ruin were other small and big pleasures of the summer bygone. I seem to like Mumbai a lot more than other cities have visited so far in India. Bhubaneswar and eastern Orissa is full of Dravidian like people and with lots of Tamil and Telugu words strewn everywhere. The famous Puri temple was actually built by the relative of Cholas in 10th and 11th century and Konark by Eastern Chola deva’s descendant in 13th century. Most of the modern day Orissa aka kalinga, from the beginning of 10th, until 13th century, was controlled by Tamil Chola Empire as a vassal from the south. The famous Konark stone chariot for Sun, of 13th century is modelled after the famous, Darasuram Airavatesvara temple stone chariot, in Kudanthai aka Kumbakonam, built in 12th century by Chola, Raja raja II.

By being Self-less and not selfish; we recognize everything around us; live in NOW; rather than selectively, and subconsciously with hidden agendas; stand tall for the ideals; shrouded not and clouded not by jealousy ,impulsiveness; however guided by generosity not in by just superfluous words, but by deeper deeds; unfettered from emotional tethering and most of all not to forget and reciprocate what others have done for us and hence live with some virtuous principles surrounded by possible virtuous souls too.

The dangers and daggers of being a Clique is, I become outrageously arrogant, selfish, unsympathetic, overblown, self-prophesying, twitter and a google scholar, laden with scratch the surface mentality, and know all attitude and inasmuch I being stereotyped by other so called venal people like me!

As of now, did you know that there are around 2 billion websites on Internet, and China, followed by India, has the most number of Internet users in the world?
