Reflective puddles!

Reflective puddles.

Cool breeze. Clear sky and mind. Reflective puddles from an overnight rain. Dots on the pool. Cigarette buds strewn along the aisles. City keepers are back in action. Grasses are cut. I am reminded of my corner shop days in Chennai where I spend and lived, most of my schooling aromatic days. I loved the smell of cigarettes as I grew with them. Smelt a loads of them. Not anymore. My dad’s favourite was panama and later on Gold flake kings; Appa flaked out too early.

Alive was he yesterday, but not today

It’s a marvel of world in its own way-Tiruvalluvar on impermanence (2000 AD).

Festivities on air; against life’s oddities and covidities. Great indeed.

New variant on the horizon. May be few more on anvil. Highly contagious. We shall know in another six months. Efficacy of, a single shot, hence your guess. May need combo covid jabs, depending upon our destination. Yearly Jab package may become a new norm. Travel plans for next 10 years? I am a one hell of an optimistic beacon on this planet.

Can see everything from a tall rising condo to a clear sky on an overnight puddle. Ever expanding and accelerating sky with Universe. May be few more Universes exist parallel to us and may never fathom those. Humanity may have gone into hiding  un-fathoming them(read somewhere).

Puddles are great. Children love them. Me too. It’s fun being reflective. They are transient like bubbles. Change colours too. Chameleons they. Clouds are mulling by. Sky is quite. Aeroplane- less-for how long? Chirpers have spread out for their morning sojourn; alas, I was tad a bit late this morning. Over slept. Meditative stupor with a cuppa. Looking for caffeine.

It’s Christmas soon. Festivities on air against life’s oddities and covid-ities (mark my word for oxford dictionary, 2021). Perhaps, my kids are hoping for a white Christmas in UK. It was white, way back in 2010, Manchester, UK. I lead a decent life those days too. I still try.

For a few of us lucky souls, both Intelligent and emotional quotients are way deep down. I dare say, are lucky; can escape with so called naiveties from all oddities of life. Lesson: Life is not meant to be analysed, however to be observed; nonetheless, mind, to be analysed and observed. Tough. If we don’t do both, it’s your guess and if we do both, still its your guess.

Beings can’t change for the sake of changing. Haven’t we, basically, a selfish agenda on our altruistic, ambitious, aggressive (!) DNA template; laden our persona with acquired niceties and naiveties, shrouded mysteries and beliefs etc.? Our template does stay with us for ever and more so expressive even when we get demented.

“Nunniya noolpala karpinum matrumthan

Unmai arrive migum”

Whatever a man may deeply learn and laden with

Only the natural trait or wisdom remains. (Tirukkural)

None is bad; none is ugly; none is good and none is. Present, will never be within our remit (!) and past and future hence are in memories and minds (read somewhere).

Festivities on air, against life’s oddities and new covidities. Great indeed. Reflective puddles are everywhere after an overnight rain. Only us recognise and reminisce.

Merry Xmas folks.
